Arrests

  1. Criminal Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds; Criminal Possession of a Weapon, 8:26 PM, Sunday, February 13, 2022, Washington Ave. – On 9/24/2022, Delonta R. CURRY, M/21 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on an arrest warrant for Criminal Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds and Criminal possession of a Weapon out of Batavia City Court. CURRY was arraigned on 9/25/2022 at 9:30AM in Batavia City Court and held in the Genesee County Jail on bail. CURRY is to return to Batavia City Court on 9/29/2022 at 1:30 PM.
     
  2. Petit Larceny, 10:36 PM, Tuesday, September 20, 2022, Jackson St. – On 9/24/2022, Shawn R. WISNIEWSKI M/33 of Medina was arrested for petit larceny that WISNIEWSKI allegedly committed on 9/20/2022 at a local business. WISNIEWSKI was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 10/11/2022 at 1:00 PM.
     
  3. Bench Warrant, 1:00 PM, Monday, August 15, 2022, W. Main St. – Chazmar T. WALTERS, M/29 of LeRoy, NY, was arrested on a Batavia City Court Bench Warrant. WALTERS was released and scheduled to appear in BCC at a later date.
     
  4. Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th, 2:55 PM, Monday, March 28, 2022, Veterans Memorial Drive. – On 9/27/2022, Daniel T. Henning, M/42 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above charge. It’s alleged that he possessed stolen property on Veterans Memorial Drive in the Town of Batavia. HENNING was arraigned in Town of Batavia Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on 11/22/2022.
     
  5. Failure to appear on Appearance Ticket, 6:21 PM, Friday, August 26, 2022, Hutchins St. – On 9/24/2022, Jolene Y. STEVENS, F/33, HOMELESS, was arrested on multiple active bench warrants and arrest warrants out of Batavia City Court. STEVENS was arraigned in front of Judge BURNS of BCC who remanded STEVENS to the GCJ in lieu of $500.00 A/$1,000.00 B/$5,000.00 E. STEVENS is scheduled to return to BCC on 9/29/2022 at 3:00 PM.
     
  6. Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree, 2:20 PM, Monday, September 19, 2022, Fisher Pk. – Phillip P. HEALE M/44 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge after he was allegedly on another individual’s property where he had been previously banned from. HEALE was issued an appearance ticket, returnable to BCC on 10/4/2022 and released.
     
  7. Assault 3rd Degree, 8:24 PM, Saturday, September 24, 2022, E. Main St. – On 9/24/2022, Evan F. MAYNARD M/21, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge. MAYNARD allegedly assaulted a male during a disturbance on E. Main St. MAYNARD was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 10/4/2022 at 1:00 PM.
      
  8. Criminal Contempt 2nd, 12:00 AM, Monday, August 29, 2022, S. Swan St. – On 9/23/2022, Justin T. CALMES, M/44 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for the above listed charge. CALMES allegedly violated an order of protection by contacting the protected party. CALMES was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 10/4/2022 at 1:00 PM.
     
  9. Driving While Intoxicated: >.08% BAC; Driving While Intoxicated; Operating with a Suspended Registration, 7:31 PM, Sunday, September 18, 2022, Bank St. – On 9/18/2022, Jennifer L. CUDNEY, F/41 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charges. CUDNEY allegedly operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated on Bank St. CUDNEY was issued appearance tickets and released to appear in Batavia City Court on 10/4/2022 at 1:00 PM.
     
  10. Petit Larceny, 9:00 AM, Sunday, September 18, 2022, Jackson St. – On 9/18/2022, Jason H. FREEMAN, M/41 of Batavia, NY was arrested on two counts of petit larceny. FREEMAN allegedly stole several cans of beer from a local business. FREEMAN was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 10/4/2022 at 1:00 PM.
     
  11. Driving While Ability Impaired: Drugs; Failure to Signal W/I 100’ of turn; Driver’s View Obstructed; Unlicensed Driver; Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree, 10:37 AM, Sunday, September 25, 2022, Summit St. – On 9/25/2022, Jeffrey A. HEWITT, M/43 of LeRoy, NY, was arrested on the above charges following a traffic stop. HEWITT was allegedly found to be operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. HEWITT was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in BCC on 10/18/2022 at 1:00 PM.
     
  12. Unlawful Dealing with a Child 1st Degree, 10:05 PM, Saturday, September 24, 2022, Oak St. – Laura B. BEATTY, F/44 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above date and time after an incident where BEATTY allegedly supplied alcohol to a juvenile at her residence. BEATTY was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in BCC on 10/4/2022 at 1:00 PM.
     
  13. Petit Larceny, 12:10 PM, Tuesday, September 27, 2022, E. Main St. – On 9/27/2022, Brian M. RAPHAEL, M/34 of Batavia, NY, and Michelle L. MISIAK, F/57, of Batavia, NY, were arrested. Officers were dispatched to a business on E. Main St. for a larceny in progress. When Officers arrived, both RAPHAEL and MISIAK were located on scene and arrested. After an investigation, Officers learned that RAPHAEL had stolen grocery items. Officers were also informed that RAPHAEL and MISIAK had been on location earlier during the day and had stolen groceries in a previous incident. RAPHAEL was charged with two counts of petit larceny and MISIAK was charged with one count of petit larceny. Both were issued appearance tickets and are due back in BCC on 10/18/2022 at 1:00 PM.
     
  14. Bench Warrant, 4:30 PM, Thursday, September 29, 2022, W. Main St. – Karrie A. MORROW, F/39 of Batavia, NY, was arrested by BPD on two bench warrants out of Batavia City Court. MORROW was arraigned in BCC and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice with a return court date of 10/20/2022, at 1:30 PM..
