On Friday, September 19, 2025 uniformed officers as well as School Resource Officers were assigned to a security detail at the BCSD homecoming game at Van Detta stadium. During this detail officers received a report of a female that had been assaulted. Officers obtained a description of a male subject believed to be involved in the assault and at approximately 9:00 PM observed someone matching that description walking into the venue. The man was accompanied by several other people including some juveniles. When officers attempted to speak with the man he became uncooperative and ignored officers instructions. Officers then attempted to detain the subject for questioning related to the reported assault, the suspect later identified as Parodyce K. Warren (age 20 of Rochester), resisted and in doing so damaged a fence at the stadium. Warren was charged with Obstruction of Governmental Administration and Criminal Mischief. At this point officers were unable to locate the original victim and no further follow-up could be conducted on the assault investigation due to the fact the female left the area and did not provide officers with any contact information.
While attempting to detain Warren another male subject, a 16 year old male from Batavia, interfered with the officers by physical force and was arrested for disorderly conduct.
As officers were effecting the arrest of the 16 year old, Jevon Griffin (age 20 of Batavia) physically interfered with that arrest and was subsequently arrested and charged with Obstruction of Governmental Adminstration.
During the arrest of Griffin, Brooke Ayala (age 29 of Batavia) interfered with officers and was arrested and charged with Harassment for pushing/striking an officer.
Following this incident other smaller verbal altercations broke out and officers separated multiple parties and worked to get people to leave. During that time officers observed an altercation where Natalia Fernandez (age 33 of Batavia) attempted to strike another person, she was restrained and arrested. Fernandez was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
All parties were issued appearance tickets to appear in City Court at a later date. Officers were assisted at the scene by the Genesee County Sheriff's Office and BCSD security staff. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
