Detective Jason Ivison Honored
On May 5, 2023 Detective Jason Ivison was recognized by the Kiwanis Club of Batavia for his superior work as a Police Officer and Detective with the City of Batavia Polic Department.
The ceremony is held annually to recognize those that go above and beyond in serving and protecting their communites. Detective Ivison has demonstrated a strong work ethic and tenacity for solving crimes. "He tirelessly pursues every lead to ensure he delivers justice for individuals", said Chief Shawn Heubusch, "Jason works very hard and is dedicated to the Department and community. Great job and well deserved recognition."
Detective Ivison began his career with the City of Batavia Police Department in 2010 and was promoted to Detective in 2019. He has taken on many responsibilities during his time in the Department including; field training officer, warrant officer and member of the Department's Emergency Response Team. In his current role Jason manages the Department's sex offender registry program in addition to his duties as a Detective. Jason has received many positive assessments and recognitions for outstansing work both as a police officer and detective.
Jason is a graduate of Byron-Bergen and went on to serve our country in the United States Marine Corp, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He earned his Associates in Criminal Justice from GCC and then earned his Bachelor's of Science from SUNY Empire State.
