1. Sarah A. Malone (age 40) of Graham Street in Batavia is charged with theft of services and criminal impersonation second.

On 2/21/2023 PO Martinez arrested Sarah Malone, 40, of Batavia, on the above listed charges after it was alleged that she dined at a local restaurant and left without paying her bill. After being located by Batavia PD regarding the theft of services, Malone provided Batavia Police Officers with a false name and DOB. Malone was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 3/7/2023 at 1:00 PM.

2. Brittany L Hollaert (age 26) of St Paul Street in Rochester is charged with failure to appear.

On 03/07/2023 Officer POST arrested Brittany HOLLAERT on two active arrest warrants out of Batavia City Court for attempted grand larceny in the third degree, petit larceny, and criminal trespass. HOLLAERT was released on her own recognizance and admitted to a drug treatment facility where her case will be handled by SAFE Court.

3. Douglas M. Ashworth (age 48) of Vine Street in Batavia is charged with menacing.

On 2/28/2023 PO Gombos arrested Douglas Ashworth for menacing after an investigation into an incident that took place on 10/09/2022. It is alleged that ASHWORTH pointed a hunting rifle at two juveniles and placed them reasonable fear of physical injury or death. ASHWORTH was issued an appearance ticket and scheduled to appear in City Court on a later date.

4. Grant J Fremstad (age 22) of Ekern Street in Westby, Wisconsin, is charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated (bac >.18%), improper lane usage, and open container.

On 3/5/2023 at about 2:23 AM PO Weglarski stopped a vehicle on E Main St for a traffic violation. The vehicle was operated by Grant FREMSTAD of Wisconsin. Upon further questioning and investigation it was determined that FREMSTAD was intoxicated and subsequently arrested for DWI. FREMSTAD is due to appear in Batavia City Court on 3/22/2023 at 9:00 AM.

5. Demerio J Watts (age 38) of Eggert Road in Buffalo is charged with failure to keep right, failure to signal, and driving while intoxicated.

On 03/05/2023 PO Gombos arrested Demerio WATTS after an investigation into a traffic stop. It is alleged that WATTS was stopped for several moving violations and found to be intoxicated by alcohol with a BAC of .08% or more. WATTS was arrested and issued an appearance ticket scheduled for City Court on a later date.

6. Phillip D. Byford (age 32) of Brockport Spencerport Road in Sweden was arrested on BCC bench warrants.

On 3/2/2023 PO Moscicki arrested Phillip D. Byford for bench warrants issued by BCC. The first warrant stemmed from an incident on 1/24/2020, from a business on W Main Street, where Byford was charged with Petit Larceny and released on an appearance ticket after which he failed to appear. The second warrant was issued after Byford was arrested for Petit Larceny on 1/24/2020 from an incident on W Main Street, issued an appearance ticket, and failed to appear. The third warrant was issued for a Criminal Trespass Second arrest from an incident on E Main Street, where Byford was issued an appearance ticket and subsequently failed to appear. Byford was arraigned in Batavia City Court on 3/3/2023 at 3:30 pm and is to appear at a later date.

7. Myia N. Sobus (age 19) of South Pearl Street in Oakfield is charged with petit larceny.

8. Timothy J Alis (age 18) of Park Road in Batavia is charged with petit larceny.

On 3/04/23 PO Crossett arrested Myia Sobus and Timothy Allis for the above charge.  It is alleged that they filled a shopping cart with $897 worth of items and left the store without paying.  They were released with an appearance ticket to appear in BCC on 3/14/23 at 1:00pm. 

10. Shawn M. Sloan (age 38) of Porter Avenue in Batavia is charged with petit larceny and criminal trespass second.

On 3/3/23 PO Yung arrested Shawn Sloan on the above charges after it is alleged that he entered an apartment on Bank Street and stole a kitchen utensil.  Sloan was released on an appearance ticket to appear in BCC on 3/7/23.

11. Shannon B. Harder (age 38) of Bowen Road in Attica is charged with unsafe turn, speed in zone, fail to keep right, and driving while intoxicated. 

On 3/8/23 PO Freeman arrested Shannon Harder for driving while intoxicated as well as other VTL violations resulting from a traffic stop on Cedar St. HARDER allegedly was speeding, failing to maintain her lane and driving while intoxicated. HARDER was released on appearance tickets with a return date of 03-08-2023 at BCC.
