Arrests

1. Bench Warrant, 9:26PM, Friday, March 19, 2021, W. Main St. – Andrew ROBERTS M/28 was arrested on three separate bench warrants issued out of Batavia City Court. ROBERTS was arraigned in City Court by Judge ROGERS and remanded to the Genesee County Jail. ROBERTS is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 4/28/2021.
    
2. Harassment 2^nd/Petit Larceny, 4:05PM, Wednesday, November 25, 2020, Ellicott St. – Leonard JOHNSON III M/28 was arrested for the aforementioned charges following an investigation into an altercation on Ellicott St on 11/25/2020. JOHNSON is accused of shoving and threatening to fight another person. JOHNSON is also accused of withholding property that belonged to another person. JOHNSON turned himself in on the charges and was released on an appearance ticket.
    
3. DWAI Drugs, 6:03PM, Saturday, January 30, 2021, E Main St. at Clinton St. – Ronald SCROGER M/41 was arrested for the aforementioned charge following an investigation into a shoplifting complaint at a local business. It was determined that SCROGER operated a motor vehicle while being impaired by several drugs. SCROGER is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 6/15/2021.
   
   
4. Criminal Contempt 1^st, 10:27AM, Tuesday, March 16, 2021, State St.  – James PERRY M/36 was arrested for the aforementioned charge following an incident on State St. PERRY allegedly violated an order of protection during the incident. PERRY was arraigned by Judge ROGERS in Batavia City Court on 3/16/2021 at 4:14PM in Batavia City Court. PERRY was remanded to Genesee County Jail in lieu of $10,000 (A)/$20,000 (B)/$40,000 (E). PERRY is scheduled to reappear in Batavia City Court on 4/15/2021.
    
5. Criminal Contempt 1^st, 1:30PM, Tuesday, March 16, 2021, State St. – James PERRY M/36 was arrested for the aforementioned charge following a disturbance on State St. where PERRY was observed in the presence of the protected party of an order of protection. PERRY was arraigned in Batavia City Court by Judge ROGERS and held in lieu of bail. PERRY is scheduled to return to Batavia City Court on 4/15/2021.
    
6. Criminal Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds, 2:18PM, Tuesday, March 16, 2021  – Emery GREEN M/32, was arrested and processed at BPDHQ following an investigation where it was alleged GREEN possessed a firearm on Batavia City School District property. GREEN was arraigned virtually in Batavia City Court by Judge ROGERS. GREEN was RUS’d Genesee Justice and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 4/13/2021.
    
7. Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3^rd/Criminal Contempt 1^st/Menacing 2^nd/Endangering the Welfare of a Child/Harassment 2^nd, 4:26PM, Wednesday March 17, 2021, McKinley Ave. – Joshua WILLIAMS Sr. M/29 was arrested for the aforementioned charges after a domestic incident where WILLIAMS allegedly attempted to hit another person with a brick. WILLIAMS was arraigned by Judge ROGERS in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $5,000 (A)/ $10,000 (B)/$15,000 (E). WILLIAMS is due back in Batavia City Court on 4/22/2021.
    
8. Arrest Warrant, 2:49PM, Thursday, March 4, 2021, W Main St. – Douglas TAYLOR M/32 was arrested on an arrest warrant for failure to appear and arraigned virtually in Batavia City Court. TAYLOR was held on $1 bail. TAYLOR was originally arrested on 3/20/2020 following a shoplifting incident and charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal possession of a Hypodermic Instrument. TAYLOR is currently being held in Monroe County Jail on unrelated charges.
    
9. Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7^th, 4:16PM, Wednesday, March 24^, 2021, Liberty St.  – Adam ARSENAULT M/35 was arrested for following a home visit from Genesee County Probation. ARSENAULT was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Batavia City Court on 6/15/2021.
