Arrests

  1. Criminal Mischief, 6:52 PM, Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Liberty St. – On 5/31/2022, Zachary J. MARROW, M/30 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge. MARROW, allegedly, damaged a fence belong8ing to his neighbor. MARROW was issued an appearance ticket and released. MARROW is due back in BCC on 6/21/2022 at 1:00 PM.  
     
  2. Trespassing, 11:25 PM, Tuesday, June 7, 2022, Ellsworth Ave. – Andre L. ROBERTS, M/29 of Pavilion, NY, was arrested for trespassing on the above date. ROBERTS is alleged to have trespassed upon private property after being advised that he is not welcomed there. ROBERTS was processed at BPD, and released on an appearance ticket returnable to BCC on 6/14/2022 at 1:00 PM.
     
  3. Robbery 1st Degree; Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree; Grand Larceny 4th Degree; Coercion 3rd Degree; Menacing 2nd, 10:22 AM, Wednesday, June 1, 2022, State St. – On 6/8/2022, Jennifer L. SPRAGUE-CLARK, F/39 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charges. After a traffic stop SPRAGUE-CLARK fled on foot, and shortly there after SPRAGUE-CLARK was taken into custody. SPRAGUE-CLARK was arraigned in BCC in front of Judge Rogers, bail was set for SPRAGUE-CLARK: $25,000 (A), $50,000 (B), and $100,000 (C). SPRAGUE-CLARK is scheduled back in BCC on 6/14/2022 at 2:00 PM.  
     
  4. Criminal Contempt 2nd, 9:16 AM, Tuesday, March 29, 2022, W. Main St. – Laura J. REED, F/30 of LeRoy, NY, was arrested on the above charge. It is alleged that REED failed to show up to Genesee County Court to appear before Grand Jury after she was duly served a subpoena commanding her to appear on 3/29/2022. REED was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in BCC on 6/28/2022 at 1:00 PM.
     
  5. Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd, 1:50 AM, Wednesday, June 8, 2022, W. Main St. – Jennifer L. SPRAGUE-CLARK was arrested for OGA after running from a traffic stop until she was subdued with a taser deployment. The Officer was aware that there were charges of Robbery, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Grand Larceny, Coercion, menacing with a weapon, Burglary and another Grand Larceny pending for SPRAGUE-CLARK at the time. She was arraigned at BCC and held in lieu of $100 cash bail. SPRAGUE-CLARK returns to BCC on 6/14/2022 at 2:00 PM.
     
  6. Burglary 2nd; Grand Larceny 4th, 1:00 AM, Saturday, June 4, 2022, State St. – On June 8th, 2022, Jennifer L. SPRAGUE-CLARK was arrested on the above listed charges following a traffic stop where SPRAGUE-CLARK fled from the vehicle on foot and was taken into custody shortly thereafter. SPRAGUE-CLARK was arraigned in BCC in front of Judge Rogers. SPRAGUE-CLARK was committed to the GCJ on $25,000 (A), $50,000 (B), and $100,000 (C). SPRAGUE-CLARK is scheduled back in BCC on 6/14/2022 at 2:00 PM.
     
  7. Criminal Contempt 1st Degree; Burglary 3rd Degree, 6:33 PM, Friday, June 3, 2022, E. Main St. – Arthur L. GOLDEN, M/63, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on June 3rd at about 6:28PM after an incident on East Main St. where GOLDEN allegedly made contact with an individual who had an order of protection against him. GOLDEN was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded the Genesee County Jail without bail. GOLDEN is scheduled to reappear in Batavia City Court at a later date.
     
  8. Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, 3:15 AM, Sunday, March 27, 2022, Swan St. – Michael J. ELMORE, M/31, was arrested on the above listed charge. On 3/27/2022, Police were called to a Swan St. residence for tires that had been slashed on multiple vehicles. After an investigation, it was found that this was allegedly committed by ELMORE. Officers located and arrested ELMORE on these charges and issued him an appearance ticket. ELMORE is due in BCC on 6/21/2022, at 1:00 PM.
     
  9. Driving While Intoxicated; Aggravated DWI – BAC >.18%; Speed in Zone; No Headlights, 2:17 AM, Sunday, June 5, 2022, Main St. – On 6/5/2022, Antonio D. CALLEN, M/31 of Selma, AL, was arrested after an investigation into a traffic stop where it was alleged that CALLEN was intoxicated by alcohol with a BAC of .18% or higher. CALLEN was processed at the City of Batavia Police Department and issued several traffic tickets. CALLEN is scheduled to appear back in City Court on a later date.
     
  10. Assault 1st Degree, 3:26 AM, Saturday, March 12, 2022, Oak St. – On 6/3/2022, Ajie JJ. SMITH-EZELL, M/27 of Rochester, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge. SMITH-EZELL allegedly assaulted an individual at a local hotel. SMITH-EZELL was arraigned in Batavia City Court and was held on bail. Bail was set at $10,000 (A), $20,000 (B), and $40,000 (E). A temporary order of protection was issued against SMITH-EZELL, with the victim as the protected party. SMITH-EZELL is set to return to Batavia City Court on 6/7/2022 at 3:00 PM.
     
  11. Petit Larceny, 6:38 PM, Saturday, June 4, 2022, Ellicott St. – On June 6th, 2022, Anthony L. VANELLI, M/44 of Batavia, NY, was arrested after allegedly stealing multiple packs of Pork Ribs from a business on June 4th, 2022. VANELLI was issued an appearance ticket, and is due to appear in BCC on June 14th, 2022.
     
  12. Bench Warrant, 2:21 PM, September 16, 2020, W. Main St. – On 5/31/2022, Erica M. RAPHAEL, F/37 of Batavia, NY was arrested on a bench warrant out of Batavia City Court. RAPHAEL was arraigned in Batavia City Court, and was sentenced on the matter concluding all court proceedings.
     
  13. Driving While Intoxicated; Aggravated DWI, 7:35 PM, Tuesday, May 31, 2022, E. Main St. – On 5/31/2022, Michael W. WILLIAMS, M/63 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charges. WILLIAMS was, allegedly, observed by civilians operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. WILLIAMS was located in a vehicle and was determined to have consumed alcohol prior to operating same. WILLIAMS failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. WILLIAMS was processed, issued UTT’s returnable to BCC on 6/15/2022 at 9:00 AM and released.
     
  14. Bench Warrant, 4:48 PM, November 22, 2021, W. Main St. – Crystal A. MOUNTS, F/45 of Batavia, NY, was arrested as a result of a traffic stop conducted on Harvester Ave. MOUNTS was arrested for 6 Bench Warrants out of BCC. MOUNTS was arraigned in BCC and held on bail. MOUNTS is due to appear back in BCC on 7/7/2022.
