Arrests

  1. Criminal Trespass 3rd; Petit Larceny, 9:06 PM, Sunday, January 16, 2022, Bank St. – On 1/16/2022, Officer POST arrested Matthew ZAKRZEWSKI, M/42 of Batavia, NY, for criminal trespass in the third degree and larceny after he allegedly trespassed on private property and stole a bike. On 1/17/2022, ZAKRZEWSKI was arraigned in front of Judge Rogers who remanded ZAKRZEWSKI to the GC Jail on $100.00 cash bail with a return court date of 1/26/2022 at 1400HRS.
  2. Petit Larceny, 2:48 PM, Monday, January 17, 2022, Elicott St. – On 1/15/2022, Officer DeFelice, responded to the Livingston County Jail to arrest Adam BORTLE, M/38 of Wayland NY, on an outstanding Batavia City Court arrest warrant (2021-00009). BORTLE was arrested and transported to the Genesee County Jail where he was held prior to arraignment. BORTLE was arraigned in BCC with Judge Burns presiding. BORTLE was released under supervision and is scheduled to appear in BCC on 1/27/2022 at 1330HRS. BORTLE was released. CORTLE allegedly committed a petit larceny at a local business on 12/17/2020.
  3. Bench Warrant, 1:16 PM, Sunday, May 16, 2021, E. Main St. – On 1/12/2022, Officer Post arrested Michael L. JACKSON, M/41 of Batavia, NY, on an active bench warrant for petit larceny out of Batavia City Court. Jackson was issued an appearance ticket and released with a return court date of 1/27/2022 at 1330HRS to the BCC.
  4. Driving While Intoxicated; Operating a Motor vehicle with a BAC .08% or more; Moved from lane unsafely, 12:09 PM, Sunday, January 16, 2022, E. Main St. – On 1/16/2022, Kyle A. HILLYARD, M/29 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for DWI after an investigation into a hit and run property damage accident that took place on Main St. in the Town of Batavia. It is alleged that HILLYARD struck another vehicle causing damage to both vehicle and then fled the scene of the accident. HILLYARD was stopped by a City Police Officer where it was found that HILLYARD had been operating a motor vehicle with his BAC being .08% of higher. HILLYARD was processed and issued an appearance ticket to appear in BCC on a later date.

     
  5. Harassment 2nd; Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, 4:58 PM, Monday, January 17, 2022, Dellinger Ave. – On 1/17/2022, Alexandro RODRIGUEZ, M/25 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charges. Charges stem from a domestic incident where RODRIGUEZ, allegedly, pulled another person to the ground causing her to injure her hand. RODRIGUEZ was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance. RODRIGUEZ was processed and arraigned in BCC and released. RODRIGUEZ is due back in BCC on 2/1/2022 at 1400HRS.
  6. Assault 3rd, 11:15 PM, Monday, January 17, 2022, Bank St. – On 1/19/2022, Batavia Police Arrested Laquisha M. BLOOM, F/36 of Medina NY on the above listed charge after she turned herself into BPDHQ. BLOOM was issued a computerized appearance ticket scheduling her to appear in BCC on 2/1/2022 at 1300HRS.  
  7. Arson 5th Degree; Criminal Mischief 3rd, 9:00 PM, Sunday, January 16, 2022, Bank St. – Matthew T. ZAKRZEWSKI, M/42 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for the above listed charges. ZAKRZEWSKI allegedly went into the backyard area of 113 Bank St, and set a canvass shed on fire, causing damage to the shed and contents. ZAKRZEWSKI, who is being held on other charges, was issued an appearance ticket directing him to appear before Batavia City Court on 1/25/2022 at 1:00 PM.
  8. Sex Offender: Failure to report change of address within 10 Days – 1st Offense, 12:01 AM, Friday, December 10, 2021, Oak St. – Jose A. ALVARADO, M/33 of Albion, NY, is a convicted sex offender with a level 2 designation. ALVARADO is required to notify Law Enforcement of a change of address within 10-days of the move. ALVARADO was arrested by DET. IVISON for failing to make such notification following an investigation which started on 12/13/2021. ALVARADO was supposed to be staying in a room at the Day’s Inn, but was found to be living in Albion, NY. ALVARADO is currently on Federal Probation.
