Arrests

1. Driving While Intoxicated; Aggravated DWI – BAC >.18%; Driving Left of Pavement Markings; Speed in Zone; Failure to Stop at Stop Sign, 10:07 PM, Thursday, January 6, 2022, Law St. – Rebecca L. HARRINGTON, F/28, of Attica, NY, was arrested on the above date and time after a traffic stop on Law St. in the City of Batavia where HARRINGTON was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. HARRINGTON was issued several tickets and released. HARRINGTON is scheduled to appear in BCC at a later date.
2. Unreasonable Noise, 9:50 PM, Monday, January 10, 2022, Buell St. – On 1/11/2022, Officer POST arrested James R. COOPER, M/39 of Batavia, NY for a Batavia Municipal Code violation of unreasonable noise. COOPER allegedly was playing rock music at a high volume for an extended period of time in a multiple unit dwelling. COOPER was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 1/25/2022 at 1:00 PM.
    
3. Harassment in the 2^nd Degree, 8:00 AM, Wednesday, January 11, 2022, E. Main St. – Jolene Y. STEVENS, F/33 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for harassment in the second degree following a domestic incident. It is alleged that STEVENS used a piece of wood to strike her victim in the back. STEVENS was arraigned by Judge ROGERS of Batavia City Court on 1/11/2022 and is due back in Batavia City Court on 1/25/2022 at 2:00 PM.
4. Criminal Contempt 2^nd, 3:57 PM, Thursday, December 30, 2021, W. Main St. – Lyndsay T. YOUNG, F/38 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge following an investigation into a complaint where she allegedly violated an order of protection. YOUNG was issued an appearance ticket, returnable to BCC on 1/18/2022 at 1:00 PM and released.
5. Aggravated Harassment 2^nd, 6:38 PM, Thursday, November 4, 2021, Kingsbury Ave. – On 1/7/2022 at about 9:26 AM, Sean D. ROCZEN, M/38 of Rochester, NY, turned himself in to BPD HQ on Batavia City Court Arrest Warrant (#2021-00175). ROCZEN was arraigned in BCC in front of Judge ROGERS and was ROR’d. ROCZEN is scheduled back in BCC on 2/22/2022 at 2:00 PM.
    
6. DWI; DWI – BAC > .08%; Moved from Lane Unsafely, 7:09 PM, Monday, December 27, 2021, Main St. – Jeffrey P. SCHNEIDER, M/51 of Batavia, NY was arrested on the above listed charges following a three-car property damage accident in which he allegedly caused while operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. SCHNEIDER was processed at BPDHQ and released on appearance tickets. SCHNEIDER is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 1/12/2022 at 9:00 AM for arraignment.
7. Criminal Contempt 2^nd, 11:55 PM, Sunday, January 9, 2022, Alva Pl. Parking Lot. – Montell L. CUNNINGHAM, F/28, Lockport, NY, was arrested on the above listed charge following an investigation into a complaint where he allegedly violated an order of protection. CUNNINGHAM was issued an appearance ticket returnable to BCC on 1/25/2022 at 1:00 PM and released.
