The Batavia Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred on 7/13/2025 at approximately 3:15 AM in the area of Hutchins Pl and State St that resulted in one person being shot. The person that was struck was transported to United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia by private vehicle. That person was later transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for further treatment for an injury that is not considered life threatening. This incident appears to have been targeted. No further details will be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
