On 6/8/2022, Joel D. PROUTY M/36 of Bergen, NY, was arrested for strangulation in the second degree, attempted assault third degree, and petit larceny after he allegedly got into a physical altercation with a female victim. PROUTY was arraigned in BCC on 6/9/2022 at 9:30AM where he was committed to the GC Jail without bail. PROUTY is scheduled to return to BCC on 6/29/2022, at 1:00 PM.
