On August 5th, 2021 at 4:36PM, Batavia Police were called to Holland Avenue for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, officers were made aware that Nateeka Gibson had been involved in a physical disturbance with another female. Gibson had then allegedly entered a residence in the area. Officers were aware that Gibson had four active warrants out for her arrest from Batavia City Court, Genesee County Court and Town of Batavia Court. Gibson also was the suspect in an ongoing investigation in the City of Batavia, where charges were also pending.
Officer Quider and K9 Batu were one of the responding units to the original call. Officer Quider and K9 Batu conducted a search of the residence, locating Gibson hiding in the basement. Officers placed Gibson under arrest after a brief struggle inside of the residence.
Gibson was arraigned in Batavia City Court on August 6th, and she was held without bail. Her status in the other courts is not known at this time.
The ongoing investigation was from an incident on E Main Street where Gibson allegedly entered the residence of an elderly male on July 28th. It is alleged that Gibson stole money from the victim on two occasions and prevented the male from making a 9-1-1 call during the incident.
