Life Saving Award: Officers Rahtanakon, Whyard, and Andersen

The Lochbuie Police Department is proud to recognize Officers Rahtanakon, Whyard, and Andersen for their heroic actions on July 30, 2025, which saved a life in a critical situation.

On that day, the officers responded to a report of an overdose at a residence. Upon arrival, they found the individual unconscious on the floor of a bathroom, blocking the door from opening. Recognizing the severity of the situation and the potential for loss of life, the officers sprang into action.

With quick thinking, they kicked a hole in the door, allowing one of the officers to crawl through and enter the bathroom. Once inside, they rapidly administered NARCAN to counter the effects of the overdose.

Their swift and decisive actions undoubtedly saved the individual's life. The Lochbuie Police Department commends Officers Rahtanakon, Whyard, and Andersen for their bravery, professionalism, and commitment to serving the community.

This incident serves as a testament to the critical role our law enforcement officers play in protecting and saving lives. We are grateful for their service and proud to have them serving our community.
