🎃 Don’t let a DUI haunt you this Halloween! 👻
The consequences of driving under the influence can be truly scary , so make the safe choice and plan a sober ride home from your Halloween festivities.
From Oct. 31 to Nov. 3, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will support the Colorado State Patrol and 67 local law enforcement agencies for The Heat Is On: Halloween Weekend DUI Enforcement. Drivers can expect saturation patrols, sobriety checkpoints, and extra officers on duty to keep our roads safe. 🚓
To help you make the right choice, Uber and MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) are offering an $8 discount with Uber Voucher code SPOOKYCO25 (valid one-time in the Denver metro area, Oct. 30–Nov. 3).
🕸️ Hosting a Halloween party? Keep your guests safe:
• Collect car keys at the door and encourage sober rides.
• Offer a couch or call a sober friend if needed.
• Stop serving alcohol a couple hours before the party ends.
• Serve plenty of food and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Don’t let anyone drive drunk — you could be held liable if they crash.
🚸 For designated drivers:
• Watch for trick-or-treaters — especially the little ones.
• Slow down and stay alert.
• Report any suspected impaired drivers to law enforcement.
Let’s keep Halloween fun, safe, and free from tragedy. 🎃💀
Plan ahead. Drive sober. Save lives.
