Press Releases 7/12/2026

  • On 7/2/2026, James E Wroten (age 59) of Batavia, was arrested for Burglary 2nd and Criminal Contempt 1st.

Wroten was allegedly found inside a residence, in violation of an order of protection. He was arraigned in CAP Court at the Genesee County Jail.

  • On 7/6/2026, Rosemary R Waters (age 40) of Batavia, was arrested on a warrant for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.

Waters was located on Ellicott St and arrested on the warrant. During the arrest, she was found in possession of cocaine. She was additionally charged with another count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. She was taken to the Genesee County Jail and arraigned.

  • On 6/29/2026, Crystal L Marsceill (age 45) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.

Marsceill was arrested following a traffic stop on Washington Ave, where she was allegedly found in possession of cocaine. She was issued an appearance ticket and released.

  • On 6/29/2026, Kailey Williams (age 18) of Batavia, was arrested for Harassment 2nd.

Williams was charged after police responded to Tim Horton’s on Main St, for the report of multiple people fighting in the women’s bathroom. Williams allegedly struck multiple people. She was issued an appearance ticket and released.

  • On 6/26/2026, Jesse J Kessens (age 20) of Batavia and Brandon C Powell (age 27) of Batavia, were each charged with Harassment 2nd.

Kessens and Powell were charged following an altercation at a residence on West Main St where they each struck another person. Powell also allegedly damaged a TV. He was additionally charged with Criminal Mischief 4th. Both were issued appearance tickets and released.

  • On 6/30/2026, Kristen R Aquino (age 42) of Batavia, was arrested for Harassment 2nd.

Aquino allegedly grabbed and shoved another person, during an altercation on Maple St. She was issued an appearance ticket and released.

  • On 6/28/2026, Stephen P Dobnack (age 33) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Trespass 3rd.

Dobnack allegedly entered the vacant Days Inn building on Oak St. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

  • On 6/28/2026, James M Difrancesco (age 40) of Batavia, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

It’s alleged that Difrancesco failed to supervise a two-year-old child, allowing the child to get out of the house and walk into the street, while Difranceso was inside playing video games. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

  • On 6/30/2026, Richard L Nicometo (age 29) and Daniel J Nicometo (age 27) were arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.

Both were charged following a traffic stop on Main St, where they were allegedly found in possession of narcotics. They were each issued an appearance ticket and released.

  • On 7/1/2026, Jody B Gillett (age 65) of Batavia, was arrested for Petit Larceny.

Gillett allegedly stole beer from Speedway, on West Main St. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

  • On 7/6/2026, Krista M Radford (age 56) of Holley, was arrested for Attempted Assault 2nd and Reckless Driving.

It’s alleged that Radford attempted to run another person over with her car, during an altercation in the parking lot of Tops on West Main St. She was arraigned in CAP Court.

  • On 7/6/2026, Sarah A Malone (age 44) of Batavia, was arrested on two counts of Criminal Contempt 2nd.

The charges are related to two separate incidents from 6/26/2026 and 6/28/2026, when Malone allegedly went to a residence on Raymond Ave, in violation of an order of protection. She was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released on her own recognizance.

  • On 7/5/2026, Jonathan A Bell (age 41) of Batavia, was arrested for Harassment 2nd.

It’s alleged that Bell placed a speaker in his front yard and played messages to his neighbors, calling them vulgar names. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

  • On 7/4/2026, David F Woods (age 23) of Batavia, was arrested for Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd and numerous vehicle and traffic charges.

Woods was stopped on Ellicott St for Speeding. Woods then allegedly attempted to walk away from the vehicle. After an investigation, it was determined that Woods was operating the vehicle with switched plates, no insurance and no inspection. He was issued multiple traffic tickets and released.

  • On 7/6/2026, Ted E Kingsley (age 53) of Batavia, was arrested for Harassment 2nd.

Kingsley allegedly threatened another person, during an altercation on Washington Ave. He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

  • On 7/7/2026, Nicholas D Scott (age 31) of Batavia, was arrested for Aggravated Harassment 2nd.

Scott allegedly sent threatening text messages to another person. He was arraigned in CAP Court and released.
