• On 9/1/2025, Justin T Calmes (age 47) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Contempt 1^st.

Calmes was arrested after allegedly violating an order of protection. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court, on 9/9/2025.

• On 9/2/2025, Rhonda J Schirmer (age 58) of Batavia, was arrested on an arrest warrant.

The warrant was issued after Schirmer failed to appear in court on a misdemeanor traffic ticket. She was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

• On 8/28/2025, Carl E Russo (age 22) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Contempt 2^nd.

Russo was charged after allegedly being found at a residence on Summit St, in violation of an order of protection. Russo was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

• On 9/3/2025, Thomas J Mitchell (age 36) of Candor, NY, was arrested on three bench warrants.

The warrants were issued after Mitchell failed to appear in court on three separate criminal cases. He was taken to the Genesee County Jail and arraigned in CAP Court.

• On 8/22/2025, Batavia Police responded to Porter Ave for the report of a large fight in the street.

After an investigation, five people were charged. Sarah L Marcello, Nevaeh C Welch, Jaelynn R Rivera and Ida VanOrden were each charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Disorderly Conduct. Rivera was additionally charged with Harassment 2^nd. Nyasia M VanOrden was also charged with Harassment 2^nd. All of them were issued appearance tickets and released.

• On 8/19/2025, Sherry Amidon (age 41) of Rochester, was arrested on a bench warrant.

Amidon was initially issued a misdemeanor traffic ticket on 7/29/2025. The warrant was issued after she failed to appear in court. Amidon was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

• On 8/29/2025, Donnie Armstrong (age 53) of Batavia, was arrested for Petit Larceny.

Armstrong allegedly stole a bicycle from a residence on East Main St. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

• On 8/29/2025, Loretta L Baer (age 54) of Batavia, was arrested for Harassment 2^nd and Obstructing Governmental Administration 2^nd.

It’s alleged that Baer threw an item at a Police Officer and ran from them, when they attempted to arrest her on an outstanding warrant. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 9/9/2025.

• On 8/30/2025, Robert H Ergas (age 74) of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Mischief 4^th.

Ergas allegedly damaged a fire alarm control panel, at an address on East Main St. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 9/9/2025.

• On 8/30/2025, Megan D Seymour (age 35) of Batavia, was arrested for Harassment 2^nd.

It’s alleged that Seymour struck another person during an altercation on East Ave. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 9/9/2025.

• On 8/29/2025, Lisa M Burke (age 56) of Batavia, was arrested for Petit Larceny.

It’s alleged that Burke stole merchandise from Tops. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 9/9/2025.
