On 12/10/2024 at approximately 5:11 PM, Batavia Police were dispatched to a hit-and-run car/pedestrian motor vehicle accident on East Main Street near Mobile. Officers arrived and located an injured male in the roadway. The male was transferred to Strong and is in satisfactory condition. Through the investigation, Detectives were able to determine that Jeffrey Plath of Stringham Drive was allegedly the operator of the vehicle. On 12/11/2024, Plath was located on Harvester Avenue and taken into custody. Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of a switchblade knife but did not use or threaten to use it. Plath was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released on his own recognizance.
