The Batavia Police Department is investigating a two-car accident that occurred on West Main Street this morning at approximately 9:09 A.M. One vehicle was a Town of Batavia Fire Department vehicle responding to a call, and the other was operated by a female from Batavia. The female was transported for apparent minor injuries to ECMC (Buffalo, NY) by MercyEMS.

At this time the investigation is still pending and further information will be released at a later time.

Traffic is still being impacted in the area at this time as National Grid crews remain on scene fixing their equipment and cleaning up the intersection from a spill caused by transformer damage.
