The Bushkill Township Police Department maintains and distributes motor vehicle accident reports in accordance with applicable Pennsylvania law and departmental policy.

REQUEST PROCEDURES

Individuals requesting a copy of an accident report shall complete the Accident Report Request Form (available at bottom of page), or in the police department lobby. Completed forms may be submitted in the following manner:

In person at the Bushkill Township Police Department, or

email to police@bushkilltownship.com 

Requests submitted without the required fee will not be processed.

ELIGIBILITY

Accident reports are available only to individuals named in the accident report, their authorized representatives, or other persons as permitted by law.

PROCESSING TIME

Requests are processed by the Administrative Services Officer during normal Township business hours. The Administrative Services Officer will review the request on the next business day following receipt.

Requestors should allow five (5) business days for processing. The requester will be contacted when the report is available for pickup. Requestors must provide a telephone number where they can be reached between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The associated fee for an emailed accident report must be submitted prior to an accident report being released.

FEES

The fee for a motor vehicle accident report is $15.00.

Acceptable forms of payment include:

• Money Order
• Cash (exact amount only)

Checks and money orders shall be made payable to Bushkill Township. Fees are non-refundable.

REQUESTS BY MAIL

Requests may also be submitted by mail. Requestors shall mail the completed Accident Report Request Form, along with payment, to:

Mail requests must include:

A non-refundable check or money order in the amount of $15.00, and a self-addressed stamped envelope for return delivery.

PRIVACY

To protect the privacy of individuals involved in the incident, accident reports will not be transmitted by facsimile.
