Footprints in the snow lead Thomasville Police officers to help identify a suspect involved in multiple entering autos. On January 22, 2025 in the middle of the night and while Winter Snow Storm Enzo blanketed the ground with snow, a subject began to creep around the neighborhoods looking for unsecured vehicles. The next morning, when the crimes were discovered, officers were assisted by finding a single set of footprints embedded in the snow going from house to house, vehicle to vehicle. Officers began following the footprints that led directly a residence where the footprints were seen leaving and then returning. Further investigation resulted in identifying a juvenile suspect and will now face numerous entering auto charges. This investigation continues and more charges are pending. The Thomasville Police Department is asking the communities assistance by reviewing personal security cameras and to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 229-227-3302.
