The Thomasville Police Department responded to and began investigating several break-ins and damages to businesses in the downtown area starting in the latter part of 2022 and into January of 2023.  On January 24, 2023 Thomasville Police patrol officers came into contact with Benjamin Garbo, who was acting very suspiciously while being seen behind and near businesses, a little after 5:00 am.  The officers recovered evidence that connected Garbo to at least two (2) burglaries among the downtown businesses.  The investigation into other crimes that Garbo might be connected to are still being investigated.  If anyone has any information that might aid in these investigations, please contact the Thomasville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (229) 227-3302.
