On January 31, 2022, Sergeant Nate Baker with the Moffat County Sheriff's Office made a traffic stop on a vehicle in Craig. Corporal Grant Laehr, his partner K9 Bane, along with Officer Wacie Laabs all of the Craig Police Department, assisted on the stop. After K9 Bane did his work, Sgt. Baker, Cpl. Laehr, and Officer Laabs conducted a search of the vehicle.
As you can see by the photos, the search netted multiple drugs. Found were Fentanyl pills, which have become a frequent find in Craig. This drug is considered especially dangerous and not just for users, but law enforcement and K9 partners as well. Other drugs located in the search were methamphetamine and suboxone. The search also resulted in the recovery of numerous identifications, credit cards and checks. (None of these belonging to parties in the vehicle)
Way to work as a team!
