The Craig Police Department serves the City of Craig, Colorado, with a population of approximately 9,000. Located in Moffat County, approximate population 13,000, it has low humidity, bright sunshine and a rather large daily temperature range. Because of its location in the extreme northwestern corner of Colorado, it is considered the shopping hub for the area. The area is well known for its year around outdoor recreational activities.

The Craig Police Department consists of 22 sworn and 5 civilian personnel. The department staff is comprised of the Chief of Police, one Captain, four Patrol Sergeants, three Investigators, two School Resource Officers, one Drug Task Force Officer, ten Patrol Officers, two Community Service Officers, one Investigative Technician and two Records Technicians.
