2023 K9 CHALLENGE
The 2023 High Desert Police K9 Challenge was held in Hotchkiss, Colorado on April 22nd. This year the Craig Police Department was well represented with two teams: K9 Odin and handler - Officer N. Baker and K9 Bane and handler - Corporal G. Laehr.
The event was to raise funds for the retired police dogs’ medical expenses, and funds for training seminars. The challenge are to help build public awareness of K9 units and their abilities, and for the dogs and handlers to show off their skills. The challenge categories are: Obedience, Agility, Detection, Fastest dog, Hardest hitting, Strongest grip, and Muzzle work, and each category is divided into age groups
Our K9 Teams were determined and did not disappoint!
