Today, July 8^th 2026, Craig Police Department Officers will be conducting an active shooter response training at Craig Middle School. While the vast majority of this training will take place inside the school, you may see an increased law enforcement presence in the area throughout the day and into the night. 

 

 

Active shooter response training is an invaluable skill that we hope CPD never needs to utilize in a real life situation, but having the ability to train in our local schools allows our officer to train in the schools they may need to respond to, and makes the training much more realistic. We appreciate our partnership with the Moffat County School District, and appreciate MCSD allowing CPD to utilize the Craig Middle School campus for this training.
