On July 4, 2025 Culpeper Police Department detectives assigned to the Blue Ridge Narcotic and Gang Task Force received information about a vehicle traveling between Culpeper County and Baltimore City. Stemming from an investigation that the Task Force began several weeks ago, the information alleged that the vehicle’s occupants were purchasing and transporting illegal narcotics. After determining that the information was credible, the detectives located the involved vehicle when it returned to Culpeper County.
With assistance from the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office, a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the area of Ryland Chapel Rd and Crookes Farm Rd. A Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team conducted a free-air scan around the vehicle and alerted to the odor of narcotics. During the subsequent search of the vehicle, detectives located a large amount of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and narcotic paraphernalia.
As a result of this investigation, the Culpeper Police Department arrested Denvel Ball Jr, 58, of Spotsylvania and Eric Glascock, 36, of Culpeper. Both were charged with two counts each of felony Possession with Intent to Distribute. Glascock and Ball Jr appeared before a magistrate and were held without bond at Culpeper County Jail. Additional charges may be filed in the future as the Task Force investigation continues.
