- On 7/9/2024, Jonathan E Garcia (age 32) of Batavia, was arrested for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
It’s alleged that Garcia, who is a registered sex offender, failed to register e-mail and social media accounts. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Batavia City Court, on 7/16/2024.
- On 7/4/2024, Carl E Canterbury (age 53) and Brant G Matthews (age 29) both of Batavia, were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th.

Officers with the Batavia Police NET unit conducted a traffic stop on Ellicott Ave. During the investigation, Officers searched the vehicle and located over four grams of crack cocaine. Canterbury was additionally charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd. Both were arraigned in CAP Court and are due in Batavia City Court, at a later date.
- On 7/10/2024, Kevin L Henley (age 32) of Cheektowaga, was arrested for Criminal Trespass 2nd.
It’s alleged that Henley entered a residence without permission of the owner. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Batavia City Court, on 8/6/2024.
- On 7/10/2024, Thomas J Mitchell (age 34) of Batavia, was arrested for Petit Larceny.
It’s alleged that Mitchell stole a set of car tires and used them on his own vehicle. Mitchell was issued an appearance ticket and released. He is due in court, on 7/30/2024.
- On 7/7/2024, Christopher M Phillips (age 27) of Batavia, was arrested for Menacing 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th.
It’s alleged that Phillips threatened another person with a knife, during an altercation on Bank St. Phillips was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court, on 7/30/2024.
- On 7/7/2024, Carlina T Newton (age 29) of Buffalo, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Harassment 2nd.
Police initially responded to a report of Newton wandering in traffic on West Main St. She was taken into custody and transported to the hospital. While being detained, Newton was found to be in possession of crack cocaine. It’s also alleged that Newton bit a Police Officer. She was issued an appearance ticket and released.
- On 7/8/2024, Jennifer L Tucker (age 48) of Batavia, was arrested on an arrest warrant.
The warrant stems from a traffic stop in March where Tucker was issued a misdemeanor traffic ticket. The warrant was issued, when she failed to appear in court. Tucker was arraigned in CAP Court and released on her own recognizance. She is due in Batavia City Court, at a later date.
- On 7/7/2024, Lamar I Randall (age 38) of Batavia, was arrested on an arrest warrant.
The warrant stems from a traffic stop in December of 2023, where Randall was issued misdemeanor traffic tickets. The warrant was issued, when he failed to appear in court. Randall was arraigned in CAP Court and released. He is due in Batavia City Court, at a later date.
