On Monday April 12th, the Board of Supervisors recognized the promotion of Tom Murray to the rank of sergeant. Sgt. Murray has over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, starting his career in 1995 with Conestoga Twp. In 2000, Sgt. Murray was hired by the West Lampeter Township Police Department. During his career in West Lampeter, Sgt. Murray has received several commendations for his excellent police work and for diffusing volatile situations as a patrol officer. He is one of the department’s field training officers and also one of the department’s background investigators. Sgt. Murray is married to Julie (pictured pinning on his collar chevrons). Together they have 2 sons, 3 granddaughters and a grandchild on the way. Sgt. Murray’s father, Bob Murray, and several officers attended the meeting to recognize and congratulate him on his promotion. We wish Sgt. Murray well in his new position. If you see Sgt.
