On 12/11/2020 at approximately 1621 hours NLCRPD responded to a fraud in progress call at the Ephrata National Bank.  Upon investigation Officers located a white in color Chevy occupied by driver Elisabeth SWARTZWELDER of Middletown, PA  and passenger, Samuel GERACE of Mount Joy, PA. The occupants were found in possession of and had attempted to cash a stolen check at the bank.  

During the investigation both GERACE and SWARTZWELDER were also found in possession of illegal drugs.  SWARTZWELDER was released on scene and a summons issued. GERACE was taken into custody for charges related to forgery, receiving stolen property, and possession of a controlled substance. GERACE was later arraigned and remanded into the custody of Lancaster City Prison.
