After 30 years, Badge #40, Officer Paul Steinfelt, is retiring from the York County Regional Police Department, effective today, July 31st, 2026. 

Officer Steinfelt began his law enforcement career with York Township Police Department in June 1996 and continued his invaluable service through the mergers of York Area Regional Police Department and York County Regional Police Department.

Over the course of his career, Officer Steinfelt has faithfully served as a Patrol Officer, Bicycle Officer, and Child Safety Seat Technician. He has been the recipient of numerous commendations and awards for his distinguished and dedicated service.

Officer Steinfelt is considered by many to be a mentor, admirable colleague, and friend. 

Thank you, Paul, for your unwavering commitment to protecting and serving, for the sacrifices made, and for the countless lives you have touched.
