At the York County Regional Police Commission meeting held on May 20, 2026, three citizens were recognized for their quick and decisive actions that helped save a fellow citizen’s life.
On April 16, 2026, Kevin Shoff, Jessy Hoover, and Jason Eickmeyer were traveling in the area of Southern Rd. in Spring Garden Township and noticed a male lying on the side of the road. They recognized this as a potential emergency and stopped to render aid. During this time, they were assisted by an officer from the police department. After medical intervention, the individual started to breathe again, regained consciousness and was transported to the hospital for further treatment. Without their intervention it is likely the individual would not have survived.
This is well deserved recognition for these extraordinary citizens. Their actions bring great credit to the Community.
