On December 5, 2025, West York Area Middle School students hosted York County Regional Police Officers, and and other first responders, at their Hot Cocoa for Heroes Event. The event was put together by students to show their appreciation for first responders. YCRPD officers spent time with the students enjoying hot chocolate and cookies and getting to know one another.
