LITITZ BOROUGH - As students return to school on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, you will see more kids and buses on the roads again. When driving near bus stops and around school zones, please remember the following:

• Watch for school buses - slow down and be prepared to stop when a bus is loading or unloading students.
• Expect more pedestrians - children may be walking or biking to school.
• Slow down in school zones - pay attention to posted speed limits and increased traffic around schools.
• Follow school drop off and pick up procedures - Parents and students should follow all school instructions for designated drop off and pick up areas.
• Put the phone down - a few seconds of distraction can have serious consequences.

The LBPD will be in and around the schools, especially during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal hours.
