Right-to-Know Requests
Right-to-Know (RTK) requests are to be submitted in writing using the Right-To-Know-Form (hyperlink below) and should be addressed to the Lancaster Township Police Department Open Records Officer. Once it is finished, you can either drop it off between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or you can mail it to 1250 Maple Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603, or you can email it to us at ltpd@lancastertownshippolice.org. If a requester chooses not to use the request form, the request will be considered an informal request, not subject to the Right-to-Know Law (RTKL). This means that the requester cannot pursue the relief and remedies provided for in the RTKL. The Lancaster Township Police Department will not respond to anonymous requests for records.
To allow the Lancaster Township Police Department the ability to locate requested records and determine whether those records are public, requests for records should be specific, concise and clearly identify as precisely as possible the records sought. Requesters should clearly indicate the preferred method of access – paper copies, electronic copies, or by inspection. Requesters should retain a copy of the request for their file, as a copy of the request is necessary should a requester appeal the Lancaster Township Police Department’s response.
The Right-to-Know officer for the Lancaster Township Police Department is:
Sergeant Justin Seibel
1250 Maple Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603
