Appeal Info: If you submit a Right-to-Know request and your request is denied, you can file an appeal with the Office of Open Records. There is no fee, and you do not need an attorney. All appeals must be made in writing and must be submitted to the Office of Open Records (OOR) within 15 business days from the mailing date of the Agency's response or the date that the request was deemed denied. How do I request a Body Worn Camera or Mobile Video Recording?

Requests for Police Recordings are handled differently than Right to Know Requests. You must complete an Act 22 Request form and submit it to the Chief of Police, Garth Warner.  There are fees associated with this request. Click here for the most current Township of Derry Fee Schedule.

Requests must include:

1. The date, time, and location of the event recorded
2. The requestor’s relationship to the event recorded
3. If the event took place inside a residence, the request must also identify every person present at the time of the recording unless unknown and not reasonably ascertained

 

How do I request a record through the Act 134 Crime Victim Right of Access?

Requests for police records through Act 134 access must be on an Act 134 Request Form and submitted to the Chief of Police, Garth Warner.
