                                    Excessive Heat Warning

An Excessive Heat Warning will be in effect in Bucks County from 10:00 AM on 7/27/23 through 6:00 PM on 7/29/23.

Please limit strenuous outdoor activity and be sure to stay hydrated.

For township residents, seniors, and people experiencing homelessness who are seeking refuge from the extreme heat, the Lower Makefield Township Community Center, 1550 Oxford Valley Rd, and the Lower Makefield Municipal Building, 1100 Edgewood Rd. will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00am to 6:00pm. and serve as a cooling shelter.

Please notify the Lower Makefield Police Department of any senior or disabled individual who may be without air conditioning or in need of food, water, or medical assistance immediately. Residents should not hesitate to call emergency 9-1-1.

The following Bucks County locations will also operate from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM as cooling centers for seniors and the homeless:
