The Gettysburg Borough Police Department is committed to providing outstanding, professional, and responsive public safety services to the residents, businesses, students, and more than two million annual visitors of Gettysburg—the “Most Famous Small Town in the World.”

We serve a unique community that includes Gettysburg College, the United Lutheran Seminary, and the historic battlefield that shaped the nation. Our officers remain approachable and respectful, enforce the law consistently and compassionately, and stay solution-oriented while protecting both the everyday life of a small borough and the special character of one of America’s most significant destinations.
