The Dodge City, Kansas Police Department patch depicts the western heritage that made Dodge City the “Queen of the Cowtowns.”
The steer head is a representative of the Texas cattle drives which terminated in Dodge City to be shipped by rail.
The taming of the western frontier and the protection of its citizens is represented by the crossed six guns and the five-point star found in the old west Dodge City Marshall badge. Below this star is the year Dodge City was founded, 1872.
These symbols are surrounded by the cowboy’s took of trade, the lariat rope.
The Dodge City Police Department challenge coin features our department badge on one side with our old style patch on the other side. Each coin is 1 ¾” in diameter and cost $11 each (add $4 postage if requesting by mail. If requesting more than 3 coins, add an additional $3).
These high-quality blankets are sturdy and warm.
The first blanket features a silhouette of cowboys with their horses to signify the old west of Dodge City, standing below our great American flag.
The second blanket features the seal of the Dodge City Polie Department with our black patrol unit beside it.
