On September 13, Sheriff Tomasi swore in three new Reserve Deputies to our team: Lacey Humble, Travis Allen, and Dylan Flora.
These three dedicated individuals recently completed an in-house training academy that lasted approximately fourteen weeks. During their training, they were instructed on Kansas State Statutes, Use of Force, Defense Tactics, Emergency Vehicle Operations, Firearms, and much, much more.
Our Reserve Deputies play a vital role in serving Crawford County. This unit was temporarily suspended over the past several years, but Sheriff Tomasi made a point to bring it back to the forefront. This unit is made up entirely of volunteers. The men and women that serve in this unit give up their time, energy, and talents to support our full-time deputies in keeping our community safe. From helping at community events, to assisting in emergency situations, their commitment makes a real difference.
Please join us in congratulating our newest Reserve Deputies! Their willingness to serve without expectation of recognition or reward shows the true spirit of community and public service.
