The anticipated construction on the bridge located at 5900 S. Archer Rd. has begun. This will obviously cause congestion on the main road as well as an anticipated increase on the residential streets. Currently it appears that Archer Rd. has been reduced to one lane in each direction (North/South). Anticipate backups especially during rush hour traffic and adjust your travels accordingly. Please be aware not to block the intersection at 59th Street or the entrance and exit of the Police Department as to not impede emergency vehicle movement. 

The lane reductions begin at 60th and Archer Rd. north bound and 58th place and Archer Rd. south bound. With additional reductions deemed by the construction crews. 

This will be an adjustment for all of us and as we become aware of how this effects traffic patterns, the police department will take any enforcement actions to help mitigate any violations.
