As mentioned previously, Summit Police officers like to give of themselves to help out with worthy causes. Our officers will also be participating in this years Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics. Through Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run efforts, some of our officers will be returning to Manteno, Illinois for a 2nd year. They will return to run into the cold waters at the Manteno Sportsmen's Club, located at 851 North Main Street in Manteno on March 4, 2023. Officer Sean Tovar is the team captain and will be recruiting Summit Police officers to join him in this great cause. You can support their efforts by going to their team website and donate.
