Popularized through social media a dramatic increase in thefts involving Kia and Hyundai motor vehicles has occurred nationally. If you own a Kia or Hyundai you might want to inform yourselves about this trend and what you can do to help mitigate the chance of you falling victim to a car theft. Some people are backing up their security by adding a "Club" or steering wheel locking device in order to prevent an attempt to steal their car. Offenders have targeted these two makes of vehicles as a result of social media pointing out some Security gaps in the ignition systems which facilitates the unlawful starting and taking of a vehicle.
