The Cortez Police Department received a call today expressing what an outstanding job one of our officers did while dealing with a stray dog. Officer Brady Veach was identified as the officer who took some extra time to help secure a stray dog called in by a young lady. Officer Veach was able to gain the dog's trust and get him into his patrol vehicle. The dog was taken to the Cortez Animal Shelter, and the owner was notified to expedite a hasty reunion for both pet and owner.

Thank you to the young girl for helping get the dog back to his home and owner. And a big attaboy to Officer Veach for a job well done.
