SCOTTSDALE PD MAKES BURGLARY ARRESTS LINKED TO PARADISE VALLEY CASES
Case Numbers: 2025-00023486 and 2025-00023048
Scottsdale, Arizona – Two men, 22-year-old Aiden Cornish and 20-year-old Trent Kennedy, were arrested on July 23, 2025, in connection with a series of residential burglaries in both Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. The suspects are linked to five separate incidents involving the theft of high-end kitchen appliances and home furnishings, with total losses estimated to exceed $100,000.
Three of the burglaries occurred at unoccupied homes in Scottsdale between July 14 and July 22, while two took place in Paradise Valley on June 13 and June 15. Detectives from both departments collaborated after identifying similarities in the cases, which led to the connection between the incidents across both jurisdictions.
After a thorough investigation, both suspects were taken into custody without incident. Cornish and Kennedy are being held on burglary charges, and Cornish is additionally charged with trafficking in stolen property.
During interviews, one of the suspects admitted that stolen goods were sold, and the proceeds were used to rent a luxury vehicle. Detectives confirmed this through additional evidence, including social media activity.
Only a portion of the stolen property has been recovered to date.
“The collaboration between Paradise Valley Police and Scottsdale Police was instrumental in the capture of these two suspects. Leveraging our partnerships and shared resources makes it increasingly difficult for criminals to evade justice,” said Assistant Chief Chris Watson of Scottsdale PD.
