This week, our Paradise Valley PD training team completed instructor certification for Trauma Gel—a cutting-edge medical tool designed to stop severe bleeding quickly and effectively.

🩸 What is Trauma Gel?
Originally developed for military use, Trauma Gel is a topical hemostatic agent that accelerates natural clotting to control life-threatening bleeding from injuries like gunshots, stabbings, and deep lacerations. It’s FDA-cleared, non-toxic, non-allergenic, and safe to leave on the wound until hospital treatment.

🛠️ Simple and Safe Application:
Officers apply the gel directly to the wound with light pressure. It forms a seal in seconds, helping to stabilize victims during those critical moments before EMS arrives.

👮 What’s Next?
Now that our instructors are certified, department-wide officer training is coming soon. Once complete, Trauma Gel will be deployed in the field, giving our officers a powerful new tool to save lives.

We’re proud to be the first agency in the Valley to take this step forward in emergency response.
