Paradise Valley residents may begin noticing a new type of food delivery vehicle on local sidewalks, bike lanes, and other authorized travel areas. Meet DOT, DoorDash’s autonomous delivery robot designed to safely transport food and small retail orders directly to customers. DOT is fully electric, operates without a driver, and is engineered to navigate neighborhoods while following applicable traffic laws and yielding to pedestrians.

If you encounter a DOT robot:
✅ Give it space to operate safely
✅ Yield and share pathways responsibly
✅ Do not tamper with, obstruct, or interfere with the device
✅ Stay aware, especially near sidewalks and bike lanes

DOT is bright red, four-wheeled, and features illuminated circular lights that may resemble “eyes” at night, making it easy to recognize.
