Applicants must successfully complete the required physical fitness assessment as part of the hiring process.
The assessment is designed to measure the strength, endurance, and conditioning needed for police academy training and the demands of a career in law enforcement.
Candidates must achieve the minimum required standard for their age group at the time of testing and maintain that standard throughout their time in the academy.
