On March 2, 2022, the Lansdale Borough Police Department became an Accredited Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Agency. Under the leadership of our Accreditation Manager, Lt. Ryan Devlin, and with the dedicated efforts of our administrative staff, detectives, patrol officers, and many others, the department successfully prepared for an on-site assessment in less than ten months.
Fewer than 10 percent of the approximately 1,200 law enforcement agencies in Pennsylvania have achieved this distinguished status.
To maintain accreditation, the Lansdale Borough Police Department must undergo a comprehensive assessment every three years to ensure continued compliance with the rigorous standards set forth by the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC). In October 2024, the department successfully completed this process and was re-accredited.
The Lansdale Borough Police Department remains committed to providing the highest quality of service to our community. Accreditation strengthens our policies, procedures, and accountability, while reducing risk to the public, our officers, and the Borough of Lansdale.
