Cherry Hills Village Police Department is proud to participate with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in hosting semi-annual Drug Take Back Events. These events provide a safe way to dispose of unused, unwanted or expired prescription and nonprescription medicines. The service is free and anonymous.
What to know before dropping off:
- Be sure to remove all personal information on pill bottle labels and medicine packaging.
What items are we not able to accept:
- Schedule I controlled substances
- Illegal Drugs
- Thermometers (items containing Mercury)
- Aerosol Cans/Pressurized canisters
- Inhalers
- Needles/Syringes/Sharps
- Oxygen containers
- Hydrogen Peroxide
