On Saturday, November 15, 2025, at approximately 1:50 A.M., the Stroud Area Regional Police Department responded to the 600 block of Main Street in Stroudsburg Borough for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers located a 21-year-old black male with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. The male was transported by EMS to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A forensic examination of the scene was conducted, and surveillance footage from the surrounding area was reviewed. Based on the initial investigation, it appears the male was intentionally shot at close range by the suspect shortly after exiting a nearby establishment. The male who was shot provided limited information to assist with the criminal investigation. The suspected shooter was seen wearing a multi-colored North Face-style jacket, a facemask, and gray sweatpants.
The Stroud Area Regional Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is actively working to identify the suspected shooter, as well as a second male, wearing a black coat and dark pants, who is believed to have acted as an accomplice.
