Is your child in the right car seat?  Many parents/caregivers often wonder but are too afraid to ask.  If that's you, fear not!  

In Pennsylvania, state law mandates that children must be securely fastened in an appropriate car seat or seatbelt whenever they're riding in a vehicle, as long as they meet the necessary size requirements.

Parents/caregivers do their best to make sure their child's car seat is installed correctly, but in many cases it is not.  An improperly installed child passenger seat can have devastating consequences.

The Stroud Area Regional Police Department offers a child passenger safety seat check service to make sure that your child's car seat is correct.  Our certified Child Passenger Safety Technician will check to make sure that it is the appropriate car seat for your child, that it is not expired or recalled, and finally check that it is installed correctly.  During this check, you are encouraged to ask any questions you may have.

Did we mention it is FREE??  Yes, that's right, it is free and only takes approximately 30 minutes.
